RIGA: A Fusion of Craftsmanship and Technology

Architectural concrete has the inherent ability to be shaped into any form, testing the limits of design and structure. Concrete can also incorporate a variety of structures to create beautifully carved spaces.Its versatility allows us to imagine and design cohesive patterns that make an aesthetic statement throughout the space.

This structural bandwidth not only adds visual interest but also enhances a space’s tactile experience, allowing for an ever-evolving interplay of texture and light.

Skilled craftsmen have meticulously worked on carved concrete walls giving life to a celebration of recurring patterns looking for the unique human imperfections that come with hand-made artistry, RIGA is manufactured using laser micro carving technology to engrave these man-made patterns on large-sized ceramic surfaces carefully.

Introducing RIGA

The name RIGA, meaning “line” in Italian, recalls one of the fundamental elements of the act of architecture.

RIGA is also an acronym for Research and Inspiration from Graphic and Architecture, summarizing our intention to share a new interpretation of the architectural use of concrete.

Channeling the versatile essence of architectural concrete, RIGA reinterprets its use through four distinct iterations, to be used alone or combined to create visually rich patterns:

Striato

Quadri

Planum

  • Rigato, with its elegant vertical lines that add depth and sophistication
  • Striato, which incorporates bold horizontal stripes for a dynamic visual impact
  • Quadri, a square pattern to create a structured rhythm
  • Planum is a perfectly flat surface for a minimalist aesthetic.

This variety of combinations creates different interplays of structures and light, surprising with the ability to transform any space thanks to the versatility of RIGA, adding a sense of warmth and character to any project.

These structures are available in six different colors. They are designed to be used independently or mixed with others to create design statements and inspiring color stories.
