By now you have probably already heard a lot about our latest collection, Terrælino, and, if so, you must have grasped what inspirations we had while developing this outstanding collection. Anyway, we think it is always very interesting to hear the point of view of an expert on the creative process. That is why we interviewed one of the most experienced architects in Italy on this matter, Ido Corradini.
According to him, when the development of Terrælino began, we tried to imagine how a primordial element like Earth could be worked and embellished by skilled hands to form a perfect fusion of nature and craftsmanship.

Some of the perks of this magnificent collection are, in his mind, its feeling of unity and coherence – since all its shades refer to the different ones of the earth – and the great freedom of expression it gives, because it is always possible to find the most suitable combination for one’s purposes.
This depends on how the colors were selected, in order to create very harmonious proposals, depending on their combination. The collection is in fact studied and refined from an approach that meets the way we work in architecture, thinking of how colors can communicate, giving each other strength and value.

A range of tone-on-tone grounds let us obtain a feeling of visual continuity with a very natural impact, that eliminates the perception of interruption’s phenomena which can often be one of the great limits of the use of ceramic materials in architecture.

As a consequence, in the Terrælino collection, color returns to be the great protagonist that allows us to create a project in full harmony with the surrounding landscape. Colors are functional to give a strong decorative and emotional mark to the project.

Another great merit of the Terrælino collection is the availability of large formats that allow us to amplify that feeling of continuity we mentioned earlier. It’s as if the architectural space was an extension of the natural environment it overlooks. And this obviously returns a satisfying effect of harmony. The possibility to use the 120×120 and 120×240 modules lets us design the area, giving the idea of a continuous or even dematerialized space. Using grounds in this way, it is possible to create settings that give back a great sense of organicity.
