Nexion was thrilled to present its innovative approach to surface design at ID Mumbai 2025, India’s premier design show, held from September 26–28.
The event brought together leading architects, designers, and creative minds, providing the perfect platform to showcase how our surfaces transform spaces into immersive experiences, where beauty and functionality converge.

It begins with a touch: a sensory journey
At the heart of our stand, the concept “It all begins with a touch” guided the entire experience. More than a display of surfaces, it unfolded as a sensory journey to be touched, lived, and experienced. Materials were shifted with light and awakened the senses through structure and emotion.
The outer walls showcased the four Ombre structures – Punto, Croce, Forme, and Trame – marked with the Ombre logo in Picchè structure, introducing visitors to a gallery of tactile possibilities.
Moving inwards, four immersive rooms invited exploration, each with vertical panels evoking architectural doors, offering glimpses into the expressive potential of design.
These panels demonstrated the interplay of Ombre structures with light, revealing depth, shadow, and texture. Visitors could experience how different designs respond under directional lighting, engaging with the materials in a fully immersive way and discovering their expressive range.
Interactive exploration
The stand encouraged direct engagement, inviting visitors to move from observation to creation.
Combination wall & Concrete structure gallery
At the mix & match displays, Ombre colors and Riga 3D structures came together in cube form, revealing how tones and textures shift when placed in real-world contexts.
This concrete structure gallery showcased the full expressive potential of the collections – six colors across four Riga structures and five colors across five Ombre structures – offering a comprehensive display of depth, shadow, and material richness.
Designers and clients were able to visualize projects at scale and experience the breadth of possibilities offered by sintered stone tiles.
Complementing the installations, the combination wall presented a curated overview of Ombre structures, capturing the entire spectrum of color palettes and designs in a single glance.
Interactive table
At the interactive table, architects and visitors could arrange cut pieces vertically, mixing and matching different shades and textures to create their own compositions. This setup enabled them to see how light interacts with surfaces, explore custom pairings of textures and tones, and imagine virtually infinite possibilities with the Ombre Collection.
The table offered additional tactile engagement, letting guests understand the expressive range of Nexion sintered stone tiles.
Crafting experiences through design
Every component of the stand, from vertical panels to the combination wall, concrete gallery, and interactive tables, was designed to communicate Nexion’s design philosophy. Light, structure, and color were orchestrated to inspire curiosity and creativity, showcasing how high-performance sintered surfaces can shape experiences and elevate spaces.
The booth merged craftsmanship, innovation, and material exploration to create a space where light, color, and patterns intersect, inspiring creativity and curiosity about high-performance sintered surfaces.

Design in motion
ID Mumbai 2025 reaffirmed Nexion’s dedication to timeless design, material excellence, and immersive experiences.
The event also offered a unique opportunity to interview architects and design professionals, capturing their perspectives on contemporary design and the role of beauty in shaping spaces.
Architect Kartik Mehra from VMA Studio shared:
“Nexion started to add texture. They have added these layers over it. The depth that it creates, the physiography it creates—it just speaks for itself. The tile itself is an art piece.”
Architects Shivani and Suchet from Studio XS added:
“When it comes to something that is handcrafted or that has a texture, it makes even a simple design carry so much more meaning. For an architect, this is exciting, because to get the same quality of handcrafted work at scale, in a product that lasts and can be touched—the possibility of this is amazing.”
We are grateful to all visitors who explored the stand and engaged in meaningful conversations on design, texture, and innovation.
