Pietra Piasentina

Product overview

Pietra Piasentina

A masterpiece of minimal naturalism: a lighter and versatile solution to dress spaces with a gentle stone look in line with today’s trends.

Piasentina Stone is a sedimentary rock quarried in the Italian region of Friuli. The name derives from the local expression “la piase”, meaning “I like it”. Its dotted grey background is gently moved from shades that vary from lighter to darker tones, while white, pink or grey veins create an irregular pattern on the surface.

Our design concept led us to enhance the dotted and iconic texture of the background with a mix of warm and cold shades. Mostly red and grey, to create an inimitable color. Furthermore, we elegantly interrupted its regularity, giving evidence to very delicate orange halos. Finally, we isolated and harmonised the white veins, orienting them in a more harmonic and regular direction.

The result is a product preserving the natural spontaneity of the stone, while offering a more elegant and fresher look.
