Ombre Trame Taupe

Ombre (the Italian word for shadow.s) celebrates a new harmony between naturalness embodied in raw, compacted earth and design, which enhances this inspiration through five decorative patterns: Punto, Croce, Forme, Trame & Picché.

These carefully crafted structures generate sculptural light effects in constant motion, evoking a refined sense of depth and dynamism.  This visual richness is further enhanced by a striking worn effect,  a rhythm of alternating sections where patterns are clearly defined and others where they appear to fade, as if gently erased by time, adding a poetic sense of fading memory.

All structures are created using a unique 1.5 mm deep relief engraving technique, unparalleled in the world of ceramic surfaces. For Picché relief of 0.3 mm makes this suitable also for the floor.

The original elements used to shape the slabs were entirely handmade, using a particular method of earth pressing. As a result, each piece bears the unmistakable imprint of human craftsmanship.

Trame Structure is inspired by an element deeply rooted in traditional Indian iconography widely recurrent in architecture, textiles, and other expressive forms which also inspires a pattern with a crisp, regular outline. This decorative symphony embraces light, achieving a vibrant flow through form and depth
