A closer look at our creative process.

FOAID Mumbai 2024 just wrapped up, and we are left with great enthusiasm, full of excitement for all the connections it sparked, and grateful for the many conversations and experiences we shared during these two days.

This year, we transformed our booth into an art gallery —a tribute to creativity and innovation, showcasing how nature’s artistry is enhanced by Nexion’s craftsmanship. Held on December 20-21, the event offered the perfect stage to showcase a creative journey and celebrate the beauty that grows at the confluence of nature and artistry.

There’s more than meets the eye: highlighting the craftsmanship beyond the designs.

Our booth this year was designed as an immersive art gallery: each of the latest marble designs was showcased and lit as a painting on the wall against a contrasting stone-look frame to allow visitors to look into every smallest detail of the designs.

Instead of traditional walls, we used triangular pillars adorned with marble-look designs. These striking elements reinforced the gallery theme and added a sculptural dimension to the space.

Our main goal while developing new designs is to cherish the inspiration that comes from nature and reproduce design details of the marble designs onto our sintered surface, enhancing their veins, and the background colors, erasing pollutants and external compounds and creating beautiful surfaces that nature could have made.

The final product is a enhanced version of the natural marbles quarried all around the world for their majestic beauty.

Our New Marble Designs:

Carrara Delicato

We portrayed Carrara Delicato in a Soft Naturale
surface with Lithic’s Kilkenny Nero Frame.

Many admired our redesign, we chose the purest
natural white to obtain a pristine background of
Carrara Delicato. In addition, we carefully worked
on fine-tuning the veins, refining the medium intensity
of their grey color, and we enriched them with an
almost imperceptible shade of green,
to add depth and uniqueness.

Finally, we added a touch of refined sophistication
through a more regular distribution of the grains.
The result is a surface that stands out for its reduced  visual complexity compared to the marble of  inspiration, catching the eyes for its delicate look, while still preserving its classic allure.

Statuario Caldo

Statuario Caldo was presented with Lappato Matt
surface with Lithic’s Gabbro Sfumato frame.

In reinterpreting the Statuario Caldo, we gave maximum emphasis to the neutral bright white of its background, by eliminating the major contaminants to obtain a cleaner refined design, still preserving the natural look of the marble.

We also distributed veins more proportionately, designing a fluid movement between the main ones, which establish the ascending direction, and the more nuanced ones, which go in different directions.

The result is a design that softens the original austerity of the natural marble, obtaining a dynamic and harmonious look.

Patagonia Prezioso

Attracting curation Patagonia Prezioso was
Presented in Full Lappato surface with
Pietra Piasentina frame.

Taking inspiration from Cubist art, with our design
we exclusively preserved the crystalline part of the
natural marble, by excluding the more solid
component from Natural Patagonia Prezioso.
Regarding the colors, we harmonized beige
and ivory shades
with amber and rust ridges.

Thanks to this color fine-tuning, we created bright
and precious surfaces: Cubist- masterpieces to be
admired for their unique way of combining art
and nature.

Pietra Grey

Pietra Grey was a highlight with spazzolato surface and Alpi Argento Frame.

Our interpretation led to the refinement of Pietra Grey’s background to obtain more neutral tones and intensity, making it the perfect versatile marble for any combination.

We also enriched it with nuances and fine details, to avoid “flatness”. In addition, we worked on the more visible veins to establish the direction of the project, and we harmonized the thinner ones, to accompany the movement adding dynamism and depth.

Finally, integrating crystals within the main veins, usually totally white, we added further distinctive elements.

The result is a design that, while respecting the refined elegance of the natural marble, offers more visual harmony and elegant dynamism, through a wealth of extraordinary details.

Marquinia Intenso

Marquinia Intenso Soft naturale was highlighted
with Pannonia Frame.

With our interpretation, we added the selected
fossil details to make Marquinia Intenso’s
the background transforms from anthracite grey
to dove grey.

We also worked on veins to guarantee a more
harmonious directionality, at the same time
making them even richer and deeper, adding
a hint of white and slightly reddish crystals.

These carefully integrated elements add a layer
of depth and complexity without disturbing the
eye, giving life to a timeless work of art.

Soft Naturale Surface

Our Soft Naturale surface became one of the highlights of our space, capturing the curiosity of every visitor who experienced it. The diffused but subtle texture with its softness immediately introduced a feel of luxury and tactile activation while entering the booth, all four faces of Marquinia Intenso in Soft Naturale Surface captivated visitors with its tactile appeal and understated elegance.

Mix and Match: Exploring Endless Possibilities

A dedicated corner featured a mirror with the phrase “Artistry Beyond the Surfaces” and a design matrix showcasing our full range of products. Visitors could mix and match samples pieces, experiment with combinations.

It has been an honor for us to participate in the Mumbai edition of FOAID alongside a diversity of other industry voices: partners, designers, and creative minds. Together, we have sparked conversations around innovation, creativity, space design, and community.

We are glad to be able to constantly share this journey with all of you and grateful for your support.
