In the heart of Nashik, Studio Akshay Singavi reimagines what a healthcare space can feel like. Gulmohar Clinic breaks away from the conventional, sterile model, using color, light, and linen texture to create an environment defined by calm, connection, and comfort.
A clinic designed to feel like home
At Gulmohar Clinic, the healthcare experience is transformed into something more human and empathetic. Spanning 1,000 sq ft, the project balances intimate scale with functional efficiency, creating a welcoming environment for patients. Inspired by the Gulmohar tree, the design evokes its vitality and shade, nurturing both body and mind.
Warm terracotta red ceilings and pharmacy walls recall the tree’s vibrant blossoms, while pale, Japanese-inspired wood tones and soft northern light cultivate a serene, inviting atmosphere. Every detail, from material choice to lighting, is orchestrated to ease patients’ minds, turning the clinic into a place where care and comfort coexist naturally.
A welcoming environment that nurtures well-being
From the moment we enter Gulmohar Clinic, a sense of calm and care sets the tone.
The material palette enhances both emotional and physical comfort: Terraelino Melograno walls bring tactile warmth that resonates with the clinic’s idea of nurturing, while Kilkenny Nero in the washrooms adds contrast and resilience.
In the Melograno color, Terraelino embodies the dialogue between nature and care. Its earthy tones recall the comforting shade of the Gulmohar tree, while the subtle linen texture invites touch and engagement, reinforcing a space that feels alive, welcoming, and thoughtfully crafted for patients’ comfort. The material becomes part of the storytelling, where every surface contributes to the hospitality, and emotional ease of the healthcare environment.
Kilkenny Nero complements the Gulmohar Clinic’s design, providing a refined, grounded contrast to the warm terracotta and wood tones. Its deep, balanced hues and subtle fossil-like details echo natural textures, reinforcing an atmosphere of calm and sophistication.
