After two years of market analysis, Ceramiche Speranza and Aghara family decided to establish the first premium design in Italy, made in India company to serve the fast-growing markets in Asia. Nexion Surfaces was incorporated as a 50:50 joint venture and a brand new plant was built, using the state of the art Italian production technology to produce sintered slabs – up to 120x240cm size – for indoor & outdoor applications.

In August 2016, we started production of slabs & tiles, designed in Italy and manufactured according to stringent quality standards; the objective is to offer high quality products to demanding customers in India and internationally, taking advantage in production & logistics of manufacturing in Gujarat (India), one of the largest ceramic districts in the world. In September Nexion launched its first collections at Cersaie (Bologna), the most important tiles exhibition in the world and at ACETECH (Mumbai), where Nexion won the prize of best company at the exhibition.

Nexion was awarded with the prestigious Red Dot Award in Design category for its pioneer texture surface in large size 120x240cm. The jury has stated that.

“The fact that Nexion 3D enables individual compositions of decors is innovative and provides a high level of variability, especially with regard to aesthetics.”
